About Me

Hi! I'm Ashley, the woman behind the brush. I am currently a first-year masters student at the University of Iowa doing cancer research and working as a teaching assistant. Some things that make me the happiest are spending quality time with people, reading, cooking, weight lifting, running, and, of course, makeup! Some of my earliest memories involve me watching my mom getting ready in the morning, and highlight my deep fascination for how such simple products can create the most beautiful looks.
Back in 2013, I started doing formal event makeup for family and friends. I got the opportunity to do makeup for some weddings when I was in high school, and found so much joy in it. In 2020, I decided to turn it into a small business - I realized there are always people looking for event makeup artists, and I love being the makeup artist for any event. So it was a win-win! Makeup is my creative outlet; I love doing it for others to bring out the natural beauty I see in people. And, if you're looking, I would love to do yours!
